I never thought I’d play Dolly Levi. I just never thought she’d find me in the regions. And, sure enough, when I got the call, I almost said “oh, I’m too young…” and I realized I wasn’t.
Dolly Levi is a beast of a role in all of the best ways, and I understand why Carol just kept doing it! The show and this character is filled with joy and hustle and grief and hope and absolute humor and wit and anything else you could imagine!
I truly would embrace her in any production until I die.
